2nd Annual Spring Jam at Opera House March 20
Fundraiser features top regional musicians; tickets on sale now
DEADWOOD, S.D. (3/11/10) – The Deadwood Jam Committee and the Historic Homestake Opera House are pleased to announce the second annual “Spring Jam at the Opera House,” a benefit concert to be held Saturday, March 20, from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Opera House in Lead. Doors open at 1 p.m. All proceeds from this musical event will go to the Opera House and the Deadwood Jam.
The concert will feature a diverse and talented group of regional musicians, including Marty Nelson and Brandon Sprague performing an acoustical DoBro set; soulful pianist Kristi Gondzar; old time, upbeat musicians The Dover Brothers, and Startz and Endz, a classic rock band.
Tickets are \$10 in advance and \$12 at the door on the day of the show. Last year’s Spring Jam raised some \$1,500 for the Opera House and the Jam.
“The Spring Jam features great music for a great cause,” said Melody Dennis, Deadwood Jam committee chair. “We hope music fans from across the region come out on March 20 to hear first-class musicians and support Black Hills history and arts.”
Tickets for “Spring Jam at the Opera House” are on sale in Deadwood at the Saloon #10 and at both First Interstate Bank locations, or in Lead at The Stampmill Saloon and Restaurant and the Blue Cactus. Tickets will also be available on the day of the show at the Opera House. Special \$20 tickets for the Deadwood Jam, Sept. 17-18, will also be sold during the show. Food and beverages will also be available.
The “Spring Jam at the Opera House” is presented by the Deadwood Chamber of Commerce and Visitor’s Bureau and Budweiser through Eagles Sales of the Black Hills.
